Details: I was found 3 cysts on my left kidneys when I take physical examination. Do cysts grow on the outside or inside the kidneys?

Cysts can grow on outside, inside or both outside and inside the kidneys. Usually, the inside kidney cysts cause more serious damages to patient than the outside ones. If cysts are small, especially less than 3cm, they usually cause no troubles to your health. But, as it develops large, they will take up space of kidney tissues, and causing a series of problems, such as hydronephrosis, kidney stones, Kidney Failure etc.
