Which Stage Does Creatinine 1.8 and Urea 92 Mean

Posted: by Dr.Zhao Time: 2015-05-07 07:59

Topics: High Creatinine Level

Details: My mother is 61 years old and her creatinine level is 1.8 and urea level is 92. Which stage chronic kidney disease does it mean?

Expert Answer

If your mother has kidney disease, creatinine 1.8 and urea level 92 is more likely to indicate Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease. Generally, serum creatinine level won’t increase unless more than 50% kidney function is lost.

Normally, serum creatinine level ranges from 0.5 to 1.2mg/dl. Creatinine 1.8 is a little higher than the normal, so we suppose your mother has stage 3 kidney disease. However, to give an exact answer, we suggest your mother to take more examination as early as possible. After finding out the causes of kidney disease and getting an exact diagnosis, doctors can develop a correct treatment plan.

A right treatment plan should be able to lower high creatinine and urea levels, improve kidney condition and manage patients’ complications. In clinic, stage 3 chronic kidney disease is still reversible, and some therapies such as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy, Immunotherapy, Clear Blood Pollution Therapy and Stem Cell Therapy can help treat kidney disease effectively and improve patients’ overall health condition.
