Details: Recently, I have taken the urine routine test and found red blood cells and white blood cells in it. I was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy. What does it mean for me?

Expert Answer

IgA Nephropathy is one common glomerular disease. Because kidney filtration membrane is damaged, some substances will leak from the body into urine.

According to your description, red blood cells in urine means hematuria, while white blood cells in urine indicates urinary tract infections. Recurrent hematuria and urinary tract infections are common symptoms of IgA Nephropathy.

Hematuria is caused by damaged kidney filtration membrane, so you should take some therapies to repair your kidney filtration membrane. To manage this problem, you may be suggested to take Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy. This therapy focuses on rebuilding kidney filtering structure and improving kidney function level.

As for urinary tract infections, patients should take some medicines to manage it. Drinking more water can flush the body, so as to control urinary tract infections.
