Patients with nephritis are advised to avoid strenuous activities since this can worsen Proteinuria, Hematuria and cylinduria or urine casts. You can take exercise but need to have close or further follow up or consultation with your doctor.

Having a good exercise will provide important benefits on preventing several diseases including kidney disorders. Patients with chronic nephritis should take proper exercises and should mainly focus on taking endurable exercises and proper muscle exercises including walking, jogging, Taichi, Qigong, various setting-up exercises and moderate intensity badminton or table tennis,etc.

The exercise for nephritis patients should be moderate. For example, the heart rate when exercising reaches 110 times per minutes, and the time should be controlled in 20-30minutes.

Take exercise once a day, do warm up, train activities and cool down exercise for each time.

Besides, there are two kinds of training activities. One is continuous training exercise. Take jogging for an example, patients can do exercise continuously for 10-15 minutes when the heart rate is at 105-110 times per minute. The other is intermittent training exercise. You can choose 2-3 sports as a group. One is jogging, chest-developer and Taichi. After doing one exercise sport for 3-5 minutes, take a rest for 2-3 minutes. Then begin the second group exercise. The total exercise time should not be over 20 minutes.
