PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) causes many fluid-filled sacs to form in the kidneys. When cysts are small in size, they usually do not cause any discomforts and no treatment is needed. 1. Pain (back pain, flank pain and side pain).
Renal cyst can cause pain to an individual. The symptom is often associated with enlarged kidney cysts. 3. Infection

4. Damage kidney function
Actually, the presence of these cysts are harmful to kidney function because they can cause the kidneys to become enlarged, or hypertrophied, and reduce the amount of functioning tissues. No matter which type kidney cysts you have now, rupture of these cysts can cause mild to severe symptoms or complications, thus affecting renal function. If left untreated, it will develop into Kidney Failure gradually.
